Ø Is it a debt free company? A company is more apt to last if it doesn’t have a lot of debt.
Ø Is there free training? If it is not free, how much is it? Ø Are there are any complaints about the company.
Ø What kind of supplies do you need?
Ø Is there a demand for the products or services?


There are many advantages to having a home business.

* You are your own boss
* Personal freedom – stay home with your family
* Tax advantages - check with your tax preparer
* Ability to make money based on what you do instead of what your boss wants to pay you.
* Ability to supplement what you are already making to add to your savings, buy a home, or pay for college.


There are some disadvantages of working from home.

* You have to be disciplined. No one will tell you to get your work done or check to see that you do it.
* You may not have as much social interaction
* Lack of financial security – compared to a salary job


If you are self-motivated these can be minor issues compared to the advantages of working from home. In this market people have very little job security. Far too many people just before retirement age are being “downsized”, forced to take a pay cut or move to keep their job. That is not fair to someone who has worked for the past 20-40 years. Prepare for your future or for today. Get control of you life. Make your own decisions. After 31 years of teaching, it is so nice having my own schedule. I wish I had made this decision before. I now have my own schedule and my checks just keep getting larger and larger.
